Charminster Is under siege from building companies seeking to profit from changing our rural landscape with excessive and inappropriate housing developments. The residents of the village need a voice in its future and the Charminster Action Group has been set up in response. 

We aim to inform the residents of the village about the proposals so that you can form your own opinions and object if you feel strongly. We cannot afford to allow others to make decisions about the future of OUR village on our behalf and sleepwalk into a planning nightmare. This is an opportunity to to ensure that Charminster grows in a way that suits the people of our village, not the developers, Dorset Council or Central Government.

Charminster and its surrounding areas has seen somne of the worst flooding in recent memory. Roads were blocked, homes were flooded and the parish church was the victim of rising waters for the second time in 12 years. Excessive housing development will only make these issues worse in the future.
